The Bob Davidson R48 Pre Qualifier

Texas A&M Handball Club is thrilled to present “The Bob Davidson Handball Tournament” as a WPH R48 Pre-Qualifier on September 30-October 2 at the Student Rec Center located at 187 Corrington Drive, College Station, TX 77843.
The Bob Davidson Handball Tournament WPH R48 Pre-Qualifier is open to all players, including the R48 Elite 8.Since 2017, R48 Pre-Qualifiers have been held in Pittsburgh, Tucson, Austin, L.A., San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Portland, creating tremendous excitement for players and fans.
The WPH is proud to provide extensive promotion, real time and post coverage of all R48 Pre-Qualifiers. Make your way to College Station on the first weekend of October to play against a number of the game’s best players!! Depending on entries, the tournament directors aim to start and finish the tournament on Saturday, October 1st. If necessary, some preliminary rounds may be played on Friday September 30th and similarly some finals may be played on Sunday October 2nd. The aim of this format is to help accommodate players travelling from school/work  on Friday while also aiming to finish most if not all finals on Saturday for tournament participants to socialize on Saturday evening.  Please refer to this page for updates in this regard. Players may enter a maximum of two events. All players will be guaranteed two games in singles events.  The entry fee will also include a souvenir T-shirt and lunch on Saturday. 
Registered STUDENTS are eligible for a $30 dollar discount on their singles event, if eligible please contact the tournament director for your coupon. USHA Red 21 Ball will be used in all events except the Women’s B and Novice events. All games will be best out of three games to 15 aces. 

Please Note: The tournament directors reserve the right to combine events as needed. Additional donations are always welcomed to assist with the costs of running the tournament as well as supporting the TAMU Handball tea m.If interested in participating in a FREE fun doubles event (4-Wall Big Ball) on Friday evening starting at 5:30pm please email your entry to Martin Mulkerrins at: mmulkerrins@tamu.edu. If you have a doubles partner (male or female) include their name in the email also. If you are in need of a partner the tournament organizing committee will aim to arrange this for you. This event is subject to the number of entries received.
