Chapman wins USHA/Simple Green Pro Stop #5

Players at the Draw with Tournament Director Kevin Hill

Final Results

USHA/Simple Green Pro Stop #5, South Bend, Ind. Held in conjunction with The South Bend Open.

The home of The University of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish has rich athletic traditions. A sign above the walkway to the football field states, “Play like a Champion today.” One of the finer handball champions took that advice as he stepped onto the court for Sunday’s final.

David Chapman and Vince Munoz squared off in the USHA/Simple Green Pro Final in South Bend with Chapman prevailing, 2, 3, and 8. This is Chapman's second consecutive win, and he has won four out of five Pro Stops this season. Even though he swept the final in three straight games; Chapman still felt he has room for improvement, and that could be scary with one last Stop before the Nationals in Las Vegas. “I was off this whole tournament. No, it wasn’t my conditioning; I just wasn’t hitting the ball the way I wanted to. Fortunately, Vince had a tough match with Naty yesterday, and that took a lot out of him. I didn’t think he had much left for today.”
