Sacramento 2001 - 2002

SiSimple Green Pro Stop #2 - Sunday Results Chapman regains #1 ranking!

David Chapman regains Number 1 ranking from Naty Alvarado Jr. !!!

Players and fans loved Sacramento. Players as well as fans complimented Rick Leonard, Capital Athletic Club Manager for his hard work and hospitality in making this a successful and enjoyable pro stop. Rick Leonard replied that these pro handball guys were unbelievable athletes as well gentlemen. Thanks again Rick.

David came out strong in the first game, not allowing Naty to get into a rhythm. Naty, very determined came out firing in the second game and had David diving all over the court and held David to 5 points. However, David ran out to a big lead in the third game and was able to re-kill Naty’s corner kills. As momentum turns Naty came out strong in the fourth game to take an 8-3 lead. David looked like he was doomed to go to the fifth game, David came back slowly and after numerous side outs David was able to chip away at the lead. David went ahead 10-8 and rushed a kill shot that was way short. Naty came in a scored one and then David flatten a back wall shot and preceded to close out the match.

The fans got their moneys worth, as these are truly the two best players in the world.

Paul Brady with his consolation win has cracked the top 12 and will not have to qualify.

Anton Wilson has jumped over Dunne and Armijo in the rankings to take over the 8th spot and will not have to play a top seed in the first round.

David Silveyra, who has missed the last two pro stops has moved down to number 6 and expected to return for the next pro stop.
