USHA/Simple Green Pro Stop #1- Seattle

Crowded Court. Play was close in the first game of the final before Chapman won 11-10. The Seattle Supersonics Dance Team entertained fans at the WAC between games of the final.

Alvarado, Jr. waits to pounce on shot from Munoz. A capactiy crowd watched local favorite Sean Lenning square off against Vince Munoz. Chapman glances back to makes sure his pass gets beyond Hamel's reach. Everything is geared up for the 2002-03 Pro Handball Season.

USHA/Simple Green Pro Stop #1

Seattle, WA- David Chapman began the new Pro Handball Season the same way he ended the last with a win in the championship match. Naty Alvarado, Jr. pushed Chapman in the first, staying close until finally falling 11-10. Not wanting to get in a hole early, Alvarado easily won the second, 11-2; however, Chapman jumped out to big leads in the last two games, as he is able to do with so many opponents, and sealed the win, 11-4 and 11-6.

In the consolation final, Sean Lenning pleased the home crowd with a four game win over Chris Tico, 11-2, (3-11), 11-6, and 11-1.

Players and handball fans were treated with tremendous showmanship and first-class hospitality at The Seattle Challenge Pro Stop. A special thanks goes out to Ron Bozarth and his team, the Washington Athletic Club, and the handball fans who packed the stands to witness brilliant play.
