BROOKLYN - The H.E.S. Men's & Women's Pro Doubles was held in conjunction with the Invitational Handicap Doubles.  All tournament action took place on Sunday Feb 17th. in Brooklyn, NY at the Hebrew Educational Society, the official indoor back-up site for the USHA National 1-Wall Championships.  

MEN'S DOUBLES:  Pee Wee Castro and Willie Polanco proved to be the top doubles team as well as a favorite for this summer's season as they trounced Joe Kaplan and Cesar Sala 25-5 in the Men's Doubles final.  It seemed that Kaplan and Sala never really go going as Castro and Polanco stayed hot for the win.  

WOMEN'S DOUBLES:   Theresa McCourt and Tracy Davis domintated their finals opponents by the same score as the men's, as they defeated the young team of Sarah Au and Danielle Daskalakis, 25-5.

35-PLUS INVITATIONAL DOUBLES:  In a final match-up that featured Matt Abbatiello and Roland Rodriguez versus Dan Flickstein and David Sheldon, the gallery was treated to a game that saw some early lead changes.  Abbatiello and Rodriguez took an 18-12 lead only to watch Flickstein and Sheldon chip away closing the gap to 22-19.  Ultimately, Abbatiello’s drives and Rodriguez’s steadiness proved too much as they prevailed 25-20.
