2010 USHA Winter Board Meeting
The USHA winter board meeting took place in Tucson, January 22-24, 2010.
The board of directors convened to discuss a number of
issues. Some of the highlights:
- Regional elections in the fall include the Southwest, Northeast and
Southern California. Nominating chairs are Mike Tanner for the southwest, Steve
Dykes for the Northeast and Stan Dunlavy for Southern California.
- Of course, the budget was a big concern this year. To balance, the entry fee for the national four-wall was increased $10 and prize money was lowered slightly due to lower ball sales. - The Board of Directors stepped up in a number of areas, including pledging to work on membership numbers in their regions as well as fundraising. - Promotion of the game was high on the list of priorities, with Development Grants being awarded to 13 youth programs across the country. |
