58th USHA Collegiate Championships
February 24-28, 2010
Downtown Houston YMCA
The United States Handball Association has confirmed the Downtown Houston YMCA as the site for the 2010 Collegiate Championships.
Texas A & M, Southwestern and University of Texas Handball Clubs will be jointly helping organize and adminster the tournament.
The Crown Plaza (only short walk away) has been secured as the host site.
Airport TransportationGeorge Bush Intercontinental Airport
- Super Shuttle has a $75 dollar rate with a van that holds up to 10.
- Taxi will cost $46 and hold 4-6 passengers
- Metro Direct drops off 3 minutes from the Crown Plaza, takes 30 minutes and runs every half hour for $15 one way and $30 round trip.

Stipends
- New Teams with 3 or more players with a coach/advisor receive $500
- Returning teams with 3 or more players with a coach/advisor receive in the range of $250 (based upon total of coaches/advisors in attendance) plus a players stipend.
- Each player not on a New or Returning team receives a stipend based upon how many total students a registered.
For the first time doubles will count towards team totals.
Also for the first time a co-ed doubles event will be staged on Saturday.
We learned that the Rodeo is coming to downtown Houston on the same weekend as the collegiate tournament. Should be a great attraction for the players to see. The parade is Saturday and it goes right by the YMCA.
