Thanks to the generous sponsorship of individual supporters and the funding provided by the host clubs, the Professional Handball Tour is back in 2008-2009.

Starting with the lucrative Simple Green US Open, the season started with a bang as then 20-year-old Luis Moreno shocked World No. 1 Paul Brady in the quarters. The eventual winner was handball's Mr. Nice Guy, Tony Healy, who earned the biggest win of his career. An exciting pro qualifier in Milwaukee gave Suhn Lee and Jonathan Iglesias their first crack at the big boys. The Women's Classic in New York started 2009 off with great fanfare as Lisa Gilmore rose to the occasion on the tough glass court. The Dallas event in February proved Luis Moreno wasn't happy with just one upset win. Moreno, now 21, earned the title with a stellar final's performance over Emmett Peixoto. The Collegiates in Minnesota had a great turnout with 46 different colleges being represented.

Next up: A Men's & Women's Pro Stop in Concord, CA. and finally the nationals which will be back at Los Caballeros in Fountain Valley, CA.

Come out and enjoy the fantastic athleticism of the perfect game's best players.
