Brady (ranked No. 7 out of 8 due to limited participation throughout the season) swept his pool play and then defeated Charles Shanks in the Saturday Night final to claim his first WPH Player #39;s Championship title. Brady kicked off the event on Friday with a dominating win over Sean Lenning, 15-2, 15-2. His work wasn #39;t done for the day, as he had to face Luis Moreno that evening. Moreno pushed Brady to a tiebreaker but fell short. On Saturday, Brady defeated Andy Nett to complete his sweep of the pool play and advance to the final against Shanks, a rematch of the 2012 USHA Nationals and 2012 Simple Green US Open. Much like the two previous meetings, Brady was too much for Shanks, winning the title, 15-7, 15-7. In numerous interviews throughout the weekend, Brady stated that he was using this highly competitive event to train and prep for the U.S. Nationals. See you in Des Moines, Paul!
