VENICE, Calif. - Tyree Bastidas slammed the Boy's 19-Under Division, defeating Stephen Cooney for the singles title and pairing with Ricky Ortiz to win the doubles title over Cooney and Daniel Cordova, 21-9, 21-6.
Sandy Ng stopped fellow New Yorker Amy Li in the Girls 19-Under 1st place playoff, 21-6, 21-4.
Brant Bidegain snatched another junior crown winning the Boy's 17-Under singles over Eric Matiasek, 21-8, 21-4.
Jacob Rodriguez defeated Santa Barbara teammate Efren Sanchez for the 15-Under Singles; however, Sanchez paired with Anthony Collado to win the 15-Doubles in a thrilling 21-6, 18-21, 11-8 final.

With rain in the forecast games were started at 10 am. The first championship match was won by Ted Mleczkowski (in front) against Brandon Zhang in the 15 and Under Singles.After two hours of play the skies opened up with thunderstorms and everyone dashed to the Brooklyn/Queens Elks Lodge where two beautiful courts were played on for the balance of the matches.Perhaps the most exciting match was in the 19 and under consolation finals when William Schmittgall defeated Harry Tsang but both players used every point possible. 21-20. 20-21, 11-10.

AUSTIN - Ireland's Aisling Reilly showcased her exceptional skills and matched her countryman Paul Brady's feet, holding all opponents to single digits in route to the Women's Open Singles title. Reilly defeated Jennifer Schmitt in two dominating games 21-2, 21-7. CLICK HERE to watch the Women's Open Singles Final!
Michael "Ducksy" Walsh and Tom Sheridan paired to bring the Open Doubles title back to Ireland with an impressive two-game win over Sean Lenning and Luis Moreno, 21-6 and 21-12.
Paul Brady tied many of Handball's All-time great players by winning his sixth National 4-Wall Singles title defeating David Chapman 21-8, 21-9.
The win capped a dominant tournament for Brady where he kept all his opponents to single digits.

Ray Leidich Receives Carl Porter Award at Semper Fi Event
The 21st Annual Semper Fi Handball
Tournament was held at the Marine Corps Recruit
Depot, San Diego over the
Memorial Day weekend.
Ray Leidich (pictured left with wife
Nancy), who has been instrumental in the success of the Semper Fi and
other
events, received the Carl Porter Award at the banquet on Saturday.
