With the completion of the Sports Center in 1968, handball was added to the athletic program and Mike Dau was appointed the school’s first head coach. Since then, the Foresters have added 109 All-America tags and 21 national championships to their name. Lake Forest has hosted the Intercollegiate tournament seven times, most recently in 1999, and been featured in such national publications as Sports Illustrated and The Christian Science Monitor.
